Welcome—or welcome back—to The Thoughtful Executive.

Companies already have their usual thought leadership cast: CEO, founder, maybe the CTO, maybe the CMO. Fair enough. But let me challenge you on that. Have you considered your head of IT? Your finance leader? Your customer success team? What about the non‑exec subject matter experts who know the product, market, and customers better than anyone with a big title?

There’s usually a much deeper bench you can draw from. And summer is a good time to remember that. Your regular executive voices go on vacation. Calendars get weird. Drafts sit. Pitches stall. Suddenly the whole program feels more fragile than it should. That’s a sign you’ve built the machine around too few people.

Maybe it’s time to mix it up a bit.
