Welcome—or welcome back—to The Thoughtful Executive.

Okay, we need to talk about AI and LinkedIn.

I’ve found myself unfollowing or quickly scrolling past posts that use formulas. The one haunting me these last few weeks is the one that starts off with an anecdote for a hook, followed by a back story, and then the magic conclusion and the author’s selling point. There are plenty of other templates out there, but that’s the one I’m seeing the most.

Then you have the formulaic breaks in the copy and bunched-up lines, and the “it’s not about X, it’s about Y” format that won’t die.

And y’all, it’s even in the comments! People are using ChatGPT and Claude to write comments to reply to AI-generated posts.
